don't cross the picket line

Andrew’s unemployment hearing is coming up on the morning of February 9th. We need to be ready to respond with a strong picket if his former bosses contest his unemployment!

Please come out to support Andrew and let his former bosses know they can’t disrespect their workers! We will be meeting in the parking lot on the corner of Foster and 102nd (10151 SE Foster Rd) at 12:30pm

Andrew was promised a raise by his managers at an automobile recycling shop after taking on multiple new job responsibilities. After months passed with no sign of the raise, Andrew inquired with management on its status, only to find that his bosses denied ever promising it in the first place. The withheld raise was the last straw for Andrew and his co-workers, who had already had enough of the dangerous work environment, lack of transparency in the workplace, and intimidation by management. Minutes before Andrew and his co-workers were going to meet to discuss forming a union, the general manager fired Andrew and had him escorted from the property. As if that wasn’t enough, the company has since blocked in court Andrew’s access to unemployment benefits by claiming that he quit the job.

On January 8th we held a strong and successful March on the Boss to deliver Andrew’s demands and let LKQ Foster Auto Parts know that the communinty did not approve!
